Early Life and Career

Born on February 22, 1999, Ben Rice is an American professional baseball first baseman for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). Rice was a standout player in high school and college, where he played for the Vanderbilt Commodores.

MLB Debut and Statistics

Rice was drafted by the Yankees in the 12th round of the 2021 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut in September 2022 and quickly became a regular in the team's lineup. In his rookie season, Rice recorded a .289 batting average, 8 home runs, and 31 RBIs in 55 games.

Current Status and Position

Rice is entering his second season with the Yankees in 2023. He is projected to be the starting first baseman for the team. Rice is known for his excellent fielding skills and his ability to hit for average and power.
